1. Acceptance + scope
By creating a CurioPilot account or by using any feature of the service, you agree to these Terms. If you’re creating an account on behalf of a school or district, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.
The service is operated by MoizLabs LLC. These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy, our Data Processing Agreement, and (for school plans) the order form / quote you signed with us.
2. Account types
CurioPilot has two tenant types:
- School tenant — created by an authorised school admin under a signed DPA + commercial agreement. Teachers, students, and parents within the school inherit access.
- Family tenant — created by a parent for their children, governed by these Terms + the COPPA / GDPR consent flows in-app.
3. Permitted use
You may use CurioPilot to teach, learn, support a learner, or administer a school programme. Each account is for a single named person — accounts may not be shared across users.
4. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Scrape, mass-export, or programmatically harvest content not made available via documented APIs.
- Resell, sublicense, or repackage CurioPilot output.
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code, model weights, or proprietary algorithms.
- Use the service to generate content that violates applicable law, harasses children, or attempts to circumvent safety + consent gates.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service except via our published responsible-disclosure process at /legal/security.
5. Content ownership
Your content is yours. You retain ownership of any activity, assignment, lesson, or comment you author. We hold a limited licence to host and display it within your tenant.
AI-generated output is yours to use within the scope of the service — but it’s generated content, with the limitations that come with that. We don’t guarantee originality vs. third parties’ copyrighted material.
On cancellation, you can export everything (per the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy).
6. Subscription + billing
Family plans
Premium Family is billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Trials convert at the published rate; cancellation is in-app and effective at the end of the current billing period.
School plans
Billed per the order form / quote you signed. Annual contracts are standard; multi-year terms available with discount. Late-payment fees and renewal terms are in the order form.
Taxes
Family prices include VAT in the EU + UK. School pricing is quote-time + tax based on jurisdiction.
7. Cancellation + refunds
Family Premium: cancel any time. No refund for the current billing period; service runs through end of period.
School plans: governed by the order form. Mid-term cancellation is rare and case-by-case (e.g. material breach by us).
On cancellation, your data is held for 30 days for reactivation, then hard-deleted. Backups purged within 90 days.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”. AI-generated content can be wrong; teachers and parents should review AI output before relying on it for grading or recommendations. We don’t warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free output, or fitness for any particular educational outcome.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law (e.g. fraud, willful misconduct, statutory consumer rights).
10. Indemnification
You’ll defend us against claims arising from your misuse of the service or content you upload that violates a third party’s rights. We’ll defend you against claims that properly-licensed use of the service infringes a third party’s IP.
11. Governing law + jurisdiction
For family-tenant accounts billed in the EU/UK, English law + jurisdiction applies (without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights). For school-tenant accounts in the US, the order form specifies governing law (typically Delaware). Other jurisdictions are addressed in the order form.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms: hello@moizlabs.com. Procurement / contract questions: sales@moizlabs.com.
